Agua Fria High School is a Highly Performing school which serves a student population of over 1,700.  AFHS has undergone continuous expansion and modernization since it opened in the fall of 1955, though it maintains its rich heritage and tradition.

Agua Fria High School is a comprehensive high school with full academic, fine arts, and athletic programs. AFHS has Career and Technical Education programs that include Career Discovery, Allied Health Services, Computer Technology, Law and Public Safety, Construction, and an Air Force Junior ROTC program.

Congratulations to the Band of Owls for placing 4th at the Arizona State Division II Marching Band Championship held on November 14th at Phoenix College.

Agua Fria students and staff are making a difference:

* The Drama Club has already completed a food drive and is now is participating in a gift-giving drive.
* AKTION is accepting donations for the homeless.
* Student Council is raising money for United Way.
* Ms. Haley and her classes are sending packages to troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.

November 20 - Senior orders with Josten's during lunches
November 25 through 27 - Thanksgiving Break / No School
December 1 - H1N1 vaccinations; registration information above
December 17 - 1st and 2nd hour final exams; dismissal at 10:36 a.m.
December 18 - 3rd and 4th hour final exams; dismissal at 10:36 a.m.
December 21 through January 1 - Winter Break / No School

  If you have a student enrolled in the district and were previously a ParentCONNECT user, or signed up for ParentCONNECT or Parent Experience in the last month, we will be sending you an activation key for Parent Experience in the near future.  This will be arriving via the e-mail address that we have on file.  If you do not receive your activation key by the end of September, please contact your high school.
  If you did not previously sign up for access to the parent portal, please come to your student's school to do so.

The Food Service department is proud to announce a new, secure way to manage student lunches.  Parents can view student purchases and spending history, receive low balance email notifications, set daily/weekly spending limits for your child and the capability to set your child up for meals only or a-la-carte.

After-School Tutoring

Tutoring will be on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. 
A late bus will be available for students staying after school for academic purposes.
