Welcome to the Agua Fria Guidance Website!

New Student Summer Registration Information

Welcome to Agua Fria High School. Our Guidance Staff is here to help you and we look forward to meeting you soon. Our office hours will be 7:30am-3: 30pm, Monday –Friday. You can contact us by phone at 623-932-7300 ext. 11040. Advisors and Counselors are assigned by grade level. We can help answer any questions regarding your student and our school.

With the rapid growth in our area, registration and the start of school is a very hectic time for all of us.Therefore, we would like to provide you with a few details that will make your registration process run more smoothly.

There is a 9 page general information and nurse’s packet that parents of each new student must complete. These forms can be picked up at the Guidance Office and Principal’s Office at Agua Fria. These forms can also be downloaded from this site. Please click below on "Guidance Office" and then go to "Document Manager". Then click on the "Registration file. This packet also includes a list of the documents required for registration. You can drop off completed packets and required documents to our Registrar, Elsa Cruz, so she can request information from previous schools. School starts August 8th for Freshman and August 9th for Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors.

Please note: Each incoming 9th grader will be tested in the areas of reading and math. This is to determine proper placement in classes.Older students, transferring from other high schools, who provide current standardized testing scores may not need to test. Please be aware that the testing proess could take up to two or more hours.

Also: It is important that you are aware there will be a high volume of business in our office during this time and you will probably have to wait to see a counselor. We operate on a first come-first served basis. We do our best to help each student in a timely manner, and we hope you will take this into consideration when you come to the school to register your student.

Thank you,

Guidance Staff
