NIGHT OWL JAZZ AT STATE JAZZ FESTIVAL


On April 26, your Agua Fria Jazz Band participated in the Arizona State Jazz Festival at Deer Valley High School HS. Agua Fria is the first jazz band in the district to have ever qualified for the State jazz festival, and received a rating of EXCELLENT!   Congratulations!

AGUA FRIA SYMPHONIC BAND AT EASTERN ARIZONA COLLEGE

Your Agua Fria Symphonic Band traveled to Thatcher, Arizona to participate in the EAC Large Ensemble Festival.  The performed "Amazing Grace" (traditional) and "Diamond Fanstasy" by William Harbison.  They received a rating of EXCELLENT and are looking forward to a fantastic final conert.


IMPORTANT--- If you wish to volunteer in ANY WAY, at ANY TIME with the band (including chaperoning ANY trip), you must be an approved volunteer with the Agua Fria District.  Please contact Candy Reid, district volunteer coordinator.  (623-932-7040).  Or just stop by the district office and fill out the paperwork (Corner of Dysart and Riley Roads). Please take care of this soon, as it takes 3-5 weeks to process.    This includes parents!


BAND OF OWLS RECEIVES CHARCTER RECOGNITION AWARD!

 
The Agua Fria Band of Owls is proud to be a recipient of the City of Avondale's 2006 Character Recognition Award.  The band received this award at Avondale's 60th Birthday Celebration at 8:00 PM on Saturday, December 16, at the Avondale Civic Center Plaza.  The award presentation was followed by a concert by the Band of Owls!
